Please

When you think you are trying your best to be a good trainee, gf, daughter, friend, sister, yet, in the end, not every one is pleased. They will complain, talk on your back...
I guess you can't please the whole world. You just can't. But does that mean I can live it in my way? Is that selfish? Is that wrong? Isn't that my time? My choice? I am a bit confused.

Thank god, my boss told me, "You should be pleased."

There is less than a month in London now, there are so many things to do, to see, and friends to meet. I hope God can give me a schedule to follow. He should know what is best for me.

Wonder why/how I become this contradicting -

I am tired, but I cannot sleep;
I am hungry, but I dun wanna eat;

interestingly,
The work is tough, but I dun wanna quit.

Happy day

To be happy can be a simple and easy thing - a colleague offered to help out so that i can go home early to enjoy a farewell night with my parents; a stranger from my office offered to give me a taxi ride in the rain.

Holiday

Sorry for not updating you about myself lately. Mainly, my internet connection at home has broken down. Plus, my dear parents/friends are in town, so I spend most of the time being a tourist myself these days. I went to Belgium and the Lake District (in England) in the past weeks. Ig's great fun to travel with a music therapist and a photographer/designer. Though, the activities we had were not enough to burn the calories gained...I will show you the "consequence" once I have the chance.

My back is getting better. Thanks for asking. My back pain does regularly reminds me of its existence once in a while. I indulge myself with some sports massage in my firm a few times and had a few appointment with a personal trainer, so now I am making progress. I take this as an opportunity to learn more about my body, about how the muscle and tendor interlinked and cooperate in every action. I believe - there must be a bright side on every matter.....

Watching a lot of Greys Anatomy these days. This drama is soooo addictive. It makes me so emotional as well.....I am glad I am a lawyer and not a doctor.

Roller-Coaster

Just when I thought my life had reached quite a high point, in terms of various aspects, including the fact that a boss in the firm indirectly invited me to join his group upon qualification, my health deteriorated to the lowest point - to a state where I can't walk/stand without support. It's scary to know how fragile my body can be. I guess it's just the most drastic warning my body could give to stop me from non-stop activities.

Yet, my friend still commented, "you are still so busy when you are this sick."

I finally have the time to read. There is a quote I particularly like in Clinton's My Life:

"that no one is perfect but most people are good; that people can't be judged only by their worst or weakest moments; that harsh judgments can make hypocrites of us all; that a lot of life is just showing up and hanging on; that laughter is often the best, and sometimes the only, response to pain."

Another quote he quoted:

"tell him to be alone often and get at himself and above all tell himself no lies about himself...tell him solitude is creative if he is strong and the final decisions are made in silent rooms."

I believe Solitude is something I lack in my life. Sometimes you just need a pause to think and evaluate.

Yes, rest is to equip for a longer, and probably tougher, journey. Thanks so much to those who support and take good care of me, especially my dear flatmate.

SKL, congratulations you got your first report accepted. I am so proud of you!!!!

Yeung Siu Lai, I am counting down the days before you get here to massage my back hahaha.

Treasure

My friend is very right, people don't treasure what they can do with their abilities until they lose it. That's applicable to so many things. We have the ability to think and learn, but we don't treasure it as much as those with a learning disability. So I guess, being disabled for a little while may in fact be a positive thing, at lesat you realise how fortunate you normally are.

A few days trip back home was bound to be hectic. Yet it was enjoyable and memorable. At least, I did not miss my friends' wedding, birthday, new flat, new bf, new stories, and most important of all, seeing my family and beloved.

Food and fat

How to justify the extra amount of fat on my face? French food or my own cooking? What do you think?
